This chocolate is unlike any other. The lava salt from Saltverk is treated with activated charcoal, giving this bar its dramatic color. The savory notes in this chocolate are a result of the bar’s inspiration–well roasted malted barley, usually used in brewing porters and stouts. The stark black choocolate is then topped with popped Icelandic barley, coated in chocolate.
