Our new crop of Ethiopia beans exemplifies how satisfying a washed coffee from the Sidamo can be. The cup is rich, full of floral notes up front. Another taster caught hints of black tea and lime zest in the bouquet of flavors. A balanced body and pleasant finish make it perfect for a hot or cold brew during these dog days of summer. We’ve sourced this coffee from family owned farms within the Sidamo growing region at the southern end of the Great Rift Valley. There, farmers cultivate small plots of heirloom coffee varietals indigenous to Ethiopia. Rich red volcanic soil high up in the Mendebo Mountains provide nutrients for these trees, setting this coffee apart.
