Coffee does not grow in Italy. The name of the blend denotes a roast style, a darker bean color, which originated in southern Italy. Think about toasting your bread longer in the morning. It acquires a “darker” flavor with smoky, toasty overtones. The same thing happens when we roast the coffee a bit longer. Our Italian Espresso blend is made up of full-bodied Arabica coffees grown around the world. The “secret” to our blend is a sundried, natural processed coffee from Ethiopia that gives a unique flavor and adds to crema production when pulling shots of espresso. Yet, many of our customers brew it in drip or press makers for an excellent black cup of coffee! Try it for a nice change of pace from our full city roast coffees.
