Try a fresh roast of our Fair Trade Organic coffee from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia! This small batch exemplifies how stunning a washed, sun-dried Ethiopian coffee can be when harvested from heirloom trees. The cup’s roundness and depth contain toasty caramel notes that are complimented with a wisp of floral accents; one taster described them as reminiscent of hibiscus, rose hips and apricot. Delightful brewed hot or for iced coffee! Two hundred and fifty-five farmers are part of the Halo Bariti Cooperative located in the Gedeo Zone of the Nationalities and Peoples’ Regional State of Ethiopia. Their small family-owned plots are located at elevations between 5,200 and 7,500 feet. Cultivating indigenous heirloom trees using organic growing practices, their efforts have enabled the cooperative to be certified Fair Trade Organic. Fair Trade certification ensures medical and educational services to the members and sustainable growing methods for the environment. Wisp away to the Great Rift Valley at the base of the Mendero Mountains each delightful sip at a time!
