Description

Russian Caravan is a balance between brisk lively flavors up front and smooth, slightly smoky flavors at the finish. The tea does not originate from Russia but celebrates a tradition of Russian tea caravans dating back to the 19th century.

After sixteen months of exhausting travel on horseback tea merchants would return from their long journey to Chinese tea markets. The camels in the caravan would be laden with chests of various black teas. Quite likely, the flavor of the tea changed as it aged on the journey. Our blend captures the legacy with a deep full body that contains hints of smooth malty and smoky overtones. Join the caravan!
