So we pack up a few more pounds and ship it off to arrive the next morning wherever in the country he is performing.

Several years ago while roasting a batch of Sumatra beans I pushed them a bit more than usual. My normal toasty color had turned very dark brown. A bit over the top but beautiful I thought. Wonder how it will be in the cup? The proof in the roast is the tasting.  And the result was a very distinct rich brew with a hint of smoky flavor. So Dark Sumatra was born. And now Lyle Lovett satisfying, full-flavored cup!
